How it works

Does this WiFi QR code expire?
No. This is a static code — the network name and password are encoded directly into the image itself, so it keeps working indefinitely. It only stops working if you actually change your router's WiFi password, at which point you'd generate a new code anyway.
Is my password safe inside the QR code?
Be aware: the password is stored in plain text inside the code's data, per the standard WiFi QR format every phone understands. Anyone who scans it can, in principle, extract the password. Treat the printed code the same way you'd treat the password itself — fine to post in a private guest area, not something to publish on a public website.
Does this work on both iPhone and Android?
Yes. The native camera app recognizes WiFi QR codes on iOS 11+ and Android 10+ with no extra app required. Older phones may need a separate QR scanner app.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Generating and downloading a WiFi QR code is completely free and doesn't require signing up.
