Country code without the plus sign
Enter the country code as digits only, no + and no leading zero (e.g. 1 for the US/Canada, 44 for the UK, 91 for India). The generator strips any other formatting you type into the number field automatically.

Does the message send automatically?

No, this works with any regular WhatsApp number. A Business account adds extras like a catalog, but isn't required for a simple "start a chat" code.
